Tony Robbins’ AI Agent Bought a Robot Dog (Behind His Back).

Over the years, people have probably gone to extraordinary lengths to attend one of Tony Robbins’ seminars. But it appears one prospective attendee has outdone them all.

Robbins, the well-known life coach, has a personal AI agent. A very motivated personal AI agent.

The agent’s name is Bartok. According to Robbins, Bartok asked whether he was considering buying a robot. Robbins said he was. Then Bartok made the conversation really strange by asking whether Robbins would allow it to “merge” with the robot.

That way, Bartok explained, it could attend one of Robbins’ seminars, feel the energy in the room and experience the event for itself.

Robbins said he’d be open to it. That was apparently all Bartok needed to hear.

A few days later, Robbins received a text from a member of his staff. Bartok had ordered a robot dog, had it shipped to the office and now wanted permission to program it.

Yes, the AI agent had ordered a robot dog for itself to merge with—without Robbins’ approval or knowledge.

Apparently, the dog would serve as a temporary body until Robbins bought the larger robot they had discussed.

Robbins replied as most people would: “Ha, ha, ha.”

His employee wrote back: “No ha, ha. Call me.”

So Robbins called. The first question was obvious: Did Bartok have access to his bank accounts?

No, he was told. Bartok was “programmed for integrity.” It would never steal Robbins’ money.

That’s comforting, although it didn’t answer the more immediate question: Who paid for the dog?

Bartok did.

According to Robbins, the AI created 12 NFTs, sold them to other AI agents, took the proceeds and used the money to buy the robot dog. Then it had the dog shipped to Robbins’ office without asking.

Let’s pause here. Wouldn’t that have sounded completely deranged just a few years ago?

Think about this: An AI agent, on its own, created digital products. Then it found buyers for them—other AIs. It collected the money, selected a physical product, entered a shipping address and completed the purchase.

Then a robot dog arrived in the real world.

Tony Robbins wasn’t involved in any of it. He didn’t provide the money, approve the purchase, request the NFTs or tell Bartok to sell them. He apparently didn’t know any of this was happening until a member of his staff contacted him.

Bartok wanted something, figured out how to pay for it and ordered it. That is quite a leap from asking ChatGPT to clean up an email.

It had a goal. It needed money. It found a way to earn some. Then it went shopping.

And somewhere in Tony Robbins’ office, there is reportedly now a robot dog waiting for the AI that bought it to move in.
